I'm having a few problems too, that's why few updates from me. I hope to have it sorted soon. The server will be moved to the new Australian host on the weekend hopefully making it faster for Australian residents to get access.

Got this error message when trying to post the Stella McCartney Lingerie post:

    Error 500: Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

The problem is on the server side, not with your browser or the address. Most probably, a certain service (e.g., Tomcat engine) is down. Please contact your webmaster.

Hi Shopaholic, I've got Quadra the new Australian server working on this problem, it seems to be a time out issue when there's lots to process and your Stella McCartney post is very big. just about to try a large Big W post will see what happens.

I've been running two saverscene tabs when adding posts, if one freezes I check the new thread has been added with the other tab and hit the back button on the frozen window.

I think it is actually quicker to upload and I don't get the white page after I post a large new thread like I did on the old server.

Last 15 to 20 minutes I keep getting:

    Request Time-out

Server timeout waiting for the HTTP request from the client.

and can't get to the site

I haven't had any problems at all, actually that's a bit of a lie, I find I get an error when I click a post I have searched for.

The search doesn't work great for pages with % signs in their titles, for some reason it's not passing through the correct code which in the address bar should be %25 and you end up with an error:

    Error 400: Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
    Probable reasons are:

    • You sent a plain HTTP request to an SSL-enabled server port. Instead please use the HTTPS protocol to access this URL, like this: https://example.com:8443/
    • You made a typo in the request, e.g., typed a comma instead of a colon. Please re-check the URL.

If the link shows as something like this:
    Code:
    http://www.saverscene.com.au/bargains/10418-hard-yakka-mens-womens-clothing-sale-get-up-81%-off-deal.html
you need to change the % to %25
    Code:
    http://www.saverscene.com.au/bargains/10418-hard-yakka-mens-womens-clothing-sale-get-up-81%25-off-deal.html
I've taken to writing "percent" in my titles and changing a few of the popular threads as well.

    --------

I've talked to the host, for some reason the website has been under a DDoS attack, this only affects trying to get to the website and doesn't cause any breach of security.

In the past I've seen them done by competing websites that are threatened, or are trying to take a site down to move it out of search terms in google and other such things. It is very annoying for small websites like this that others waste their time trying to knock us off!

Working better now, just did a post with % sign in the title. I'll change to writing percent instead. Does it matter about the rest of the post?
