@emily66013 Good question wouldn't we all like to know that, I would have loved to invest in Twitter but didn't. I can only give you basic information as I don't know what you need or want for your money. Obviously to make more of it.

I'd suggest you review the best interest rates that Gav supplies here:
Compare the best interest rates for term deposits in Australia:
Compare the best term deposit interest rates | Money | Saver Scene Australia

Compare interest rates for instant access cash savings:
Compare the best interest rates for instant access cash savings | Money | Saver Scene Australia

Compare the best rates for regular saver accounts:
Regular Savings - high interest savings accounts | Money | Saver Scene Australia

And have a look at the post I did here: 8th Nov 2013, CommSec Week in Review: Melbourne Cup kept investors at bay CommSecTV as the people at commsec have said better returns are coming from owning shares in banks than having money in them!

Research, research and more research is the best way to make the most of any money.

Thanks for answering that MrMoneyExpert, I find the fact you can make more from having shares in the banks very interesting!

Latest interest rates for cash savings have been updated, the links are in the post above to get the highest interest rates.

    Shiny new to forum:
I had a look at your "Compare interest rates for instant access cash savings" page.
I believe both Bank of Sydney (Former Hellenic bank), and Quay Credit Union, have ongoing 4.5% savings accounts.
Both are no withdrawal and one requires $25 per month, the other none.
    EDIT:
I appologise. I went and checked out these accounts today. Quay is for under 18yo only. And the Bank of Sydney account is only a 4 month intro.
I found them on Yahoo, which didn't state these details.
Will check details before posting next time.

Thank you Doh! I'll look into them and add them to the regular deposit savings accounts: Regular Savings - high interest savings accounts | Money | Saver Scene Australia when I update it at the end of business today, as most companies release interest rates today.

    Thank you for the input!

    For those that can't wait:

Bank of Sydney - SuperRate Account
SuperRate Account - Bank of Sydney

Doh! I can only find the Smart Saver Account for Children at the moment, am I missing something?

SmartSaver Account - For Children under 18 years
Savings and Term Deposit Rates - Quay Credit Union

In the new year I'll try to set up a best interest rate for Children's bank accounts.

Once again thank you for your help!

    Welcome to the website Doh!

This is why I like this forum, even new members are courteous and give new advice

4.5% is good in the current market
    I love to shop!

Re: Doh! Edit, No problems at all Doh!

I've added the extra column on here: http://money.saverscene.com.au/regul...ings-accounts/ about the term of the bonus to make things easier. Thanks again for the help.

The Me Bank are also offering a 5 month offer of 4.6%:

ME Bank Super Saving Bonus Rate savings account, earn up to 4.6%

That might be of interest to people, I know I often take up shorter better interest rates, but read all the conditions about it before you do.
