I won't be posting for a while I'm off to Tassie to do the Overland Track.

Heading off tomorrow for a six day walk on the Overland Track, it was supposed to be a cheap trip but it seems to be blowing out with all the gear I have had to buy.
It is ~72km and with some decent side track walking it will hopefully be up around 90km.
I am looking forward to not being able to use a phone or a computer for six days but my cameras will no doubt be getting a workout, I only have two batteries for each so I have to be careful.

I might pop up some pics when I get back.

EDIT, I wasn't going to look at the weather at all but a mate told me it's not looking great but they supposedly have 320 days of rain a year so it's to be expected.

hope it’s a great time, remember to take a camera, loads of echidnas easy to spot!

I managed to only get rain in Hobart when I was down there, actually wettest January had, the roof of the airport collapsed whilst I was there!

    What gear did you buy?

    have fun!

I took a camera, the weather was okay for a few of the days but not for the most scenic days, hahaha!

Can't really say that I enjoyed it all that much, we probably did it a bit quick, we did it in four and a half days and walked the last leg which was probably my favourite.

Walking on board walks gets pretty boring after a while, they need to be there for sustainability but it just makes it seem like your average walk not a proper hike.

If I could have the money back for the gear and trip I'd take it for sure, next trip will be out in the Watagans somewhere possibly solo or bike packing.
