Short 3.5mm headphone plug? Is there such a thing?

After reading about the Sandisk Clip - SanDisk Clip Zip 8GB MP3 Player with FM Radio - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Audio & HiFi - in another thread on here and it's good, but the headphones that come with it, and all the ones I own their plug is too long for the jack and keeps causing crackling and loss of sound, if you push it all the way in then you only get one sound channel. Not happy!

Are there things like a short version of a 3.5mm?

The rest of the thing is fantastic and will work great in a car or somewhere that's a big more stable, but no good for walking or exercising.

Nope, 3.5mm mini jack is a standard plug, I would email the seller as it may be faulty. In the end of the socket it is just basically a flat spring that touches the tip of the headphone jack.

never mind, I just wasn't forceful enough, just took it for a spin and it worked great! Had to push a bit harder than I thought I would, always a little careful as don't want to break things, I have a habit of that, sill strong hands, HULK SMASH!

now that I've worked that out, I must say it's the easiest and by far the best MP3 player I've ever used, when you connect it to your computer it starts up as a folder in Windows 8, drag drop as folder, so if you have your songs in a discography like I do for green day, drag that discography over to the Sandisk Clip and that's it. fantastic! Works as a small storage device too, perfect for people that always have their music with them and need to add a few files.
