This should be an interesting case: BBC News - US court to rule on ReDigi's MP3 digital music resales - A US court is to consider a case that could determine whether digital media files can be resold. I've always wondered what happens when you loose your mp3 player if for example you're with Apple do they keep a record of the mp3s you've downloaded and can you re-download them when you're using a replacement? I've heard that works for iPads? I know it works with Amazon Kindles, but it must be frustrating if you've got say 1000+ songs often at $1+ per song!

I looked into insurance for content on my laptop but no one would offer that, it was hardware only. Very frustrating, not that I have a lot of music more my own business photos etc.
