No release date set as I write this but Big W are doing a pre-order offer of $598, I hope the gaming is great as the console itself looks like a mega awesome 1988 VCR all boxy and black, looks a step back from the Xbox 360 black version in the design department:

    Big W Pre-Order offer

Introducing Xbox One The all-in-one entertainment system

Introducing Xbox One, the all-in-one entertainment system. This is the unveil video for the Xbox One, showcasing the console, the new Kinect sensor and the new Xbox One controller, as well as the new experiences that will be coming with Xbox One, including the personal homescreen, cinematic gaming, Live TV and Skype. Welcome to a new generation of games and entertainment.

    Be amazed.

Welcome to a new generation of games and entertainment. Where games push the boundaries of realism. And television obeys your every command. Where listening to music while playing a game is a snap. And you can jump from TV to movies to music to a game in an instant. Where your experience is custom tailored to you. And the entertainment you love is all in one place. Welcome to the all-in-one, Xbox One.

    Simple. Instant. Complete.

Xbox One is a state-of-the-art gaming console, a new generation TV and movie system and a whole lot more. Gone are the days of switching inputs on your TV to play a game or watch a movie. With Xbox One, you can quickly jump from TV to movies to music to a game. Just with the sound of your voice.

    Be immersed.

With Xbox One, games are so lifelike, you'll swear they're real. Immerse yourself in cinematic worlds with characters that are more human than ever. And reach into television, sports, music, and even the web in ways you never imagined possible.

    Be recognised.

Xbox One gets to know you. It learns what you like and what you don't. And brings it all together on your own personal home screen. And because every Xbox One comes with Kinect, it responds naturally to your voice, movements, and gestures. Say goodbye to the days of one-size-fits-all entertainment.

    Be connected.

Xbox One brings you closer to the entertainment you love and the people you care about. You can chat with your friends on Skype while watching football on TV. Or show off your best game highlights instantly with Game DVR. And because Xbox One is powered by the cloud, you won't have to wait around for game updates. It looks like the living room can finally start living up to its name.

    Meet the all-new Kinect.

The completely re-engineered Kinect takes full advantage of all that Xbox One can do. It's more precise. More responsive. More intuitive. Unparalleled voice, vision, and motion technology lets you reach into games and entertainment like never before.

    The best controller, even better.

Make the gaming experience truly immersive with more precise controls and a feel that is even more comfortable. From the Impulse Triggers to an enhanced D-pad to the new materials designed to keep the thumbs on the thumbsticks during intense gameplay, this wireless controller will take your gaming to the next level and beyond.

Xbox One is the best place to play.

Xbox One was built by gamers, for gamers. The perfect balance of power and performance, Xbox One takes gaming to a whole new level. Stunning realism. Advanced AI that adapts to the way you play. And a new generation of multiplayer that is both smarter and faster. Xbox One is simply the best gaming console we've ever made.

    XBox One Gameplay demos:

Forza Motorsport 5: E3 Gameplay Trailer

I do enjoy Forza, still haven't got first place on the Nuremberg circuit on the version I've got think it's Forza 3, but the rest all first place.

Even though it says all in-game footage I don't think of the bits between or before the actual playing as in-game, they're fillers and not game play, from what I can see in the video there's not a lot of actual game play footage, which is the bit I'm interested in!

E3 gameplay trailer featuring all in-game footage from Forza Motorsport 5, the latest edition from the highest-rated racing franchise of the past 10 years. Forza Motorsport 5 sets a new bar for racing games. With the power of Xbox and the cloud, no game better delivers the sensation of being behind the wheel. Available exclusively for launch.

Not a fan of games where you have to press a button to choose which direction to attack, that's surely what the directional controls are for!?

To my shame I've not even played Dead Rising 2, I really enjoyed the first one but never got round to the second... Probably due to when Dead Rising 2 came out my first Xbox died with the RROD, it's kind of put me off buying an Xbox One until I know they're reliable.

Dead Rising 3: E3 Announce Trailer - Welcome to the After Party

This new generation of zombies is deadlier and hungrier, so drive fast and look alive. Pick up whatever you can along the way, strap it to something else, and call it a weapon. The end of the world has never looked so fun. Only on Xbox One.

That's about $50 over the price they're paying in the US at today's exchange rates. Not good Microsoft!

USA are getting it for $499USD and that works out to about $550AUD drop the price!

At least we're not England it's going to be around $670USD!!

That's pretty good, normally we get screwed pretty hard by Microsoft pricing, wages are higher here and shipping small numbers to Oz wouldn't help with pricing. How many taxes would touch the console before it gets to your lunge room?
