Xears in ear Headphones less than half price(from the warehouse in Germany)

If you have a look around the net you will see some rave reviews for Xears headphones and with the code "klangfuzzis" you will save a huge amount off retail and international shipping is capped at 8Euro.

In Ear Kopfhörer - Exzellenter Sound in edlem Design

Here is a massive in ear headphone review and these headphones get quite a good write up-

I ordered myself some of these-

Normal retail was 109Euro, and they came down to 43Euro including postage.

On a slightly different note I was unable to attach a picture that was only slightly bigger than 640x480, not sure why.

Oops, yes they are the ones I am getting, they aren't supposed to be the best build quality but I'm not too worried. I have spent a few hundred on a set of in ear headphones and they only lasted just over a year but the manufacturer has changed their design since then.

They were Shure SE-530's, they still work but the insulation cracked in multiple places where the wires go over the ears. I bought them as I was informed by a salesperson that they were active noise cancelling phones and that was why they were so expensive. They were not active at all and they were pretty disappointing for the price, the box was nice though.

OK so they arrived yesterday, the wrapping is exactly what I like just a padded bag with a few sealed antistatic bags with the headphones and tips in seperate bags, no flashy boxes or wasted plasic.

The quality is not perfect but is better than anything else around that price and they come with a good range of tips including my favourite the squashable foam type.

Now, how do they sound? At first a bit muddy but still better than both of my Sennheiser sets, I left them playing low level music for an hour then bumped the level up a bit and left them for another hour.
After doing that they sounded much better and they may still improve some more, they are not perfect but my god are they good for $55. Very high frequencies are a tiny bit soft but I much prefer that to the tinny sound that many headphones have when it comes to treble. They have quite a nice natural sound with a crazy ability to play some stupidly low bass notes which I did not expect at all.

In a nutshell, they look weird, the fit isn't the best but the price is right and they sound amazing, I'd buy another set in a heartbeat.

After reading a review I wasn't expecting much but I really like the fit. As they are quite slim not much of the headphone touches the ear which I really like. With the foam tips they just feel like you have comfortable ear plugs in, you can feel the wire touch your lobe but that helps them stay in place.

Yesterday I forgot to take my Xears headphones with me when I went for a ride yesterday and I had to revert to my Sennheisers, my god they are terrible and considering they retailed for about $130 that is pretty disappointing.

My Senneheisers I feel have a decent sound to cost, or STC, they cost about $20 and do pretty good.
