    Pacific Jarrah Hardwood

    • Pacific Jarrah timber is simply one of the strongest timbers in the world.
    • Pacific Jarrah timber possesses a unique quality where the timber will change from a pale amber to a deep reddish brown that enhances the look of the product. This happens naturally and is not a result of staining.
    • Many other timbers require curing, a process of continually hosing and drying until the timber leaches no more sap.
    • Pacific Jarrah is completely cured and ready for use straight away with no risk of leaching. Pacific Jarrah does not bleed or leach sap.
    • Amazing Durability – The Pacific Jarrah timber heartwood resists the attack of fungi and insects, including termites and marine borers and it is rot resistant.
    • Pacific Jarrah is considerably heavier than Jarrah and appreciably heavier than American and European Oak.
    • Pacific Jarrah is considerably heavier than Jarrah or Kwila timber, with a density of 1.0(62lb/ft) seasoned, compared with the density of Jarrah when seasoned is 0.82 (52lb/ft.)
    • Pacific Jarrah timber is 18% denser than Jarrah.
    • Pacific Jarrah is harvested from managed forests with regeneration programs to ensure this fine timber can be enjoyed for years to come.
    • Every piece of Pacific Jarrah furniture is hand finished.
    • All timber is Kiln Dried between 10-14%.
    • Outback Pacific Jarrah Timber Care & Maintenance
    • Pacific Jarrah timber is a low maintenance timber. In a fully protected environment we recommend re-oiling Pacific Jarrah timber twice a year. In cases where you’re setting is fully exposed to the elements we recommend re-oiling three to four times a year with an oil which contains in-built UV protection. To minimise the level of maintenance required for timber furniture in positions of full exposure to the elements, a furniture cover is recommended.
    • Pacific Jarrah timber once assembled, and oiled, will go through a settling period. The timber will change from a pale amber colour to a deep reddish brown colour that enhances the look of the product. This is a natural occurrence of this timber and does not take place due to staining. It is recommended that only clear oil is used on the furniture which contains in-built UV protection.
