    Money Saving Food Blogs

I follow quite a few food blogs aimed at cooking good food on a budget. I would love to see any other food blogs that are out there with the same aims. Please don't post spammy links, and please maintain the quality of the thread. My favourite blog is the following, it features great foods, and all the costings are done for you. It shows you don't need to just live off of baked beans and 2 minute noodles.

    Budget Bytes

Thanks for that, great advice! I love sweet potato and my wife's a vegan so this one is right up our street: Budget Bytes: sweet potato & kale salad $3.58 recipe / $0.90 serving

I really have to try and grow some Kale, I've got rocket growing at the moment which is great but it's got a very sharp taste for some salads.

Post Punk Kitchen - Great vegan recipes, many low fat items.

My wife who has been a vegetarian for about 20 years at the end of 2012 decided to become a vegan, so this meant a lot of new learning about cooking for vegans, and this website has come up good:

    The Post Punk Kitchen
    | Post Punk Kitchen | Vegan Baking & Vegan Cooking

They author of the site has a great book, which has had a lot of use of late:

Appetite for Reduction: 125 Fast and Filling Low-Fat Vegan Recipes
Appetite for Reduction: 125 Fast and Filling Low-Fat Vegan Recipes: Isa Chandra Moskowitz, Matthew Ruscigno: 9781600940491: Amazon.com: Books

I'll try and get my wife to write a bit more about it on here, as she currently does more of the cooking, due to my carpal tunnel. I would say that because it's an American site they do use different terms for certain foods.

no, I have tried to cut back my meat eating as I love animals and for health reasons, maybe eat meat once or twice a week, but I drink milk most days. The vegan recipes we've had and the baking she's done from Post Punk Kitchen has been really nice.
