    You have to be in the right place at the right time to get an Apple product on sale, I think they have some agreement stating that retailers can only discount Apple products a couple of times a year.

    yeah they're not allowed to offer them up as loss leaders or discount them in the first few months of release think it's 3 months after release date. They know they're going to get the sales so there's no point discounting until the next model's about to come out. Apple also have rules about no cashback site offers too.
