- Day 1
Arrive in Hobart
Stay overnight at Lenna of Hobart Pick up your Budget rental car and drive in to Hobart, where the Derwent River meets Mt Wellington. Explore the waterfront before taking off on a Tasmanian Air Adventures "Hobart City Scenic Flight", then enjoy dinner at one of Hobart's many harbour-side restaurants.
- Day 2
Stay overnight at Lenna of Hobart Visit Hobart’s iconic Salamanca Market. Board the ferry MR-1, cruising out to Mona where you will get lost in a concrete and sandstone labyrinth of antiquities and modern art. Back on the ferry for Hobart Town and another night exploring its nooks and crannies for a delicious meal.

Stay overnight at the Giants Table Maydena Leave the city behind and head for New Norfolk. The journey beyond takes you past hop fields and oast houses. Head for Mt Field National Park, one of Tasmania’s most diverse. Take a walk through giant ferns to the three-tiered Russell Falls and then discover Tasmanian Tiger country on the way to Maydena.

Stay overnight at Derwent Bridge Chalets & Studios In the morning enjoy one of Maydena’s many forest walks before taking the road north towards Tasmania’s wild heart at Derwent Bridge.
