    Haha ... I'm not that much of an alcoholic to have polished them all off that quickly. I've consumed two bottles now and I can say that it was very nice, 2011 was not a good year for the Barossa but the Jester is still good drinking and particularly at this price.
    I will let you guys know if It comes back on sale again.

    Hey Vino, which one was it you ordered?

    I know I'm an adult now, by that I mean not a student / backpacker that'll drink anything as long as it's cheap, my wine collection is starting to gather dust. Something that's never happened before!

    Hi Gav, It was the "BLACK MARKET McLaren Vale Cabernet 2011" deal as it turns out it was "2011 Mitolo Jester Cabernet Sauvignon" selling for ~$20 at Dan's.

    BLACK MARKET DEAL Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

    RRP = $20 each
    70% = $6 each

    Total Purchase = $72 a 12 pk

    Why do we love this wine ?

    We can honestly tell you that this is one crazy wine deal. Brilliant, great brand Barossa Cabernet, WITH a sexy label for only $6 a bottle - SIX. DOLLARS. PER. BOTTLE. Think about all the things you can buy for $6, perhaps a large soy, double shot flat white or one mini taco from that hipster Mexican place off a laneway in the CBD... seriously. Think about it...

    About this wine, we can tell you:

    • A leading wine reviewer gave this bold red a smart 91 points out of 100
    • It's a powerful yet elegant Cab with wild blackberries, blackcurrant, bay leaves, notes of mocha and cedar on the palate
    • It makes for beautiful drinking now or over the coming next few years
    • Look at the price, seriously... $6 for a bottle of single varietal, Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon!
    • It's 70% off, when it's already ridiculously good value at full price

    Don't miss out. There are only so cases and so many thirsty mouths...
    We can't tell you:

    • Anything else. Give it up, girlfriend.

    BLACK MARKET DEAL Pinot Noir 2012

    RRP = $25 each
    70% = $7.50 each

    Total Purchase = $90 a 12 pk

    Why do we love this wine ?

    I am always the first to admit that occasionally I can be somewhat dramatic... I over exaggerate, I would use exclamation points until my keyboard breaks and I will occasionally shout at you. In saying that, I am not being dramatic when I say that this is the BEST value Black Market Pinot Noir we have EVER had on the Fo!!!!!!! Big call we know ... but we've NEVER had a 94pt Halliday rated Pinot at $7.50! So yes Andre, those exclamation points are necessary.

    If you've not purchased this before, this is a cracking Vic pinot from a well known producer that is sold in hundreds of outlets around the country. This is bright, it’s fresh and it’s juicy. You’ve got the finesse of a 5 star producer and the alluring notes of refreshing cherries, some subtle spice and a dash of violets. Think delicate and soft tannins with a palate that’s as long as my leg. It’s an Old World styled Pinot, which is inviting, persuasive and it’s begging to be drunk. You cannot find a Pinot of this quality and calibre with 94pts for $7.50 and believe me when I say you’ll kick yourself when this arrives, but honestly you’ll kick yourself harder if you miss out.

    BLACK MARKET DEAL Sauvignon Blanc 2013

    RRP = $22 each
    70% = $6.60 each

    Total Purchase = $79.20 a 12 pk

    Why do we love this wine ?

    Some of us at the 'Fo are pretty terrible at budgeting... okay, when I say some of us, I mean me. Working at the 'Fo makes financial planning that much harder but when we get wines like this 94 point Black Market Savvy for less than $7 a pop, it'd be silly not to include this in our list of fixed expenses.

    Made from a boutique, family producer in South Australia, we've been sworn to secrecy about the winery's exact location as they're kind of a big deal. We can tell you however, the fruit was sourced from two celebrated regions that are quite neighbourly with each other... With 5 Stars to their name, you need to trust us on this one Mofos.
    We're here to talk about the wine and what a wine she is. Refreshing and well-balanced, she's rich and tropical. Alive with bucketloads of grapefruit, melon, gooseberry and hints of grass - this is a thirst quenching white that can only be heightened in enjoyment with a circle of mates and a plate of fresh salt and pepper squid.
    So the question is, can you name me another 94pt Aussie Sauvy that costs less than $7? No? Didn't think so.

    BLACK MARKET Shiraz 2011 95pts

    RRP = $26 each
    70% = $7.80 each

    Total Purchase = $93.60 a 12 pk

    Why do we love this wine ?

    You haven’t seen this on the ‘Fo Mofos and I bet you won’t be able to find this anywhere else - actually, I guarantee it. Our Buyer Kate was so blown away by this 95 point single vineyard Shiraz that she bought the whole lot (and even pre-ordered some for herself). We wish we could tell you where those 95 points came from but then, this is Black Market and we can't tell you all our secrets - what's the fun in that? With 5 gold medals to its name, another 93 points from Halliday and a fine 5 star reputation to match - you're definitely in good hands.
    I don’t know about you but with winter coming to an end, I’m becoming a lot more outgoing and I'm far from being labelled a 'social butterfly'. If you're like me and you've been ignoring your friends for the majority of winter, there's no better way to say “Sorry for not replying to your texts and not 'liking' your photos on Facebook" for the last three months than with a bottle of this sexy Shiraz. Packed with blueberry, dark cherry, hints of subtle spice, white pepper and a fine, lingering finish with a savoury twist - this is a bold yet friendly wine that's awesome for everyday quaffin' and all those fun BBQs you're planning to attend.
    Need we remind you that it's under $8 a bottle and will go down better than a tray of supermarket snags?

    BLACK MARKET Cabernet Merlot 2010

    RRP = $25 each
    70% = $7.50 each

    Total Purchase = $90 a 12 pk

    Why do we love this wine ?

    We’ve had WA red blends come and go but we’ve never had a WA red blends of this calibre, for this price. We’re talking 5 red star producer with an RRP of $25 for an almost-illegal $7.50 - where else but Black Market Mofos…
    Matured in French oak barrels for 12-18 months, this is an exceptional medium-bodied red that’s soft, savoury and bloody delicious. Overflowing with mixed berry, cedar and tobacco, this is the perfect food friendly wine that will team up nicely with a leg of roast lamb (hot tip from our buyer/massive foodie Karel) or your favourite Italian dish. Beautiful to drink now, this is a wine that’ll only get better in the next five years.
